  • 2 lbs sea scallops
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

Preparation

  • Begin by patting the sea scallops dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of the scallops with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and oregano.
  • Brush the scallops with the olive oil mixture, making sure to coat them evenly. Let scallops rest for 10 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Cook

  • Spray the grill grates with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the scallops on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the scallops from the grill and serve hot. Do not rest.
